Felix Higher Education (FHE) which is the higher education arm of FRTC is launching a journal in June 2020.

Felix Risk Training Consultants (FRTC) was established in 2009 and is fully accredited with BANKSETA, INSETA, QCTO and the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA). FRTC programmes focus in the niche areas of finance, banking and risk management. It provides training by means of specialised initiatives, learnerships and internship programmes. It provides various short skills programmes to government and private companies.

FRTC is based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, serving clients nationwide. Since there is a big demand for higher education qualifications by FRTC’s, graduates, existing students and corporate clients, in the quest of growing and responding to the needs of value-based skills in the financial and business sector FRTC has decided to apply for CHE accreditation for higher education qualifications through establishing a higher education College, named Felix Higher Education Pty LTD, and trading as Felix Higher Education.

Journal of Banking, Insurance and Management Studies (JBIMS)

The mission statement is explicit where:

In pursuit of this mission, FHE is established to:

  •  Allocate its resources to the pursuit of quality, equity and excellence in empowering people by providing opportunities to advance their careers and to reskill, develop and formalise their management competences;
  • Cater for the education and training needs of all sectors of South African society by providing quality accredited higher education programmes;
  • Offer quality management education and training programmes to allow graduates to compete in the marketplace, transfer skills and develop an entrepreneurial spirit in South Africa;
  • Serve the South African economy through academic and training programmes responsive to the unique needs of its people and their goals;
  • Establish national and international collaborative relationships in order to enhance the quality and range of its programmes;
  • Benchmark its programmes against leading national and international higher education practice;
  • Maintain a quality of service that maximises the realisation of student potential(including attention to the graduate attributes), both in the private and public sectors, by responding to the changing needs of the labour market and aligned to the “thuma mina” call by government leadership;
  • Contribute to the national transformation process of higher education in Southern Africa;
  • Promote opportunity, equality and social justice irrespective of race, colour, creed or gender

The Editorial team of JBIMS is inviting researchers, scholars and practitioners to submit their research, to be published in a peer-reviewed research journal to be launched in June 2020. All submitted papers will be double peer-reviewed, and published initially in print version only initially and on-line as well at a later stage. The journal welcomes papers in banking, insurance, finance as well as the wide field of management sciences.

The Editorial team of JBIMS is inviting researchers, scholars and practitioners to submit their research, to be published in a peer reviewed research journal. All submitted papers will be double peer reviewed, and published initially in print version only initially and on-line as well at a later stage.

The journal welcomes papers in banking, insurance, finance as well as the wide field of management sciences.
